Loan Worth a Billion Dollar Being Discussed With World Bank: Zebari

Iraqi Dinar 123 News:– On Wednesday, the Iraqi Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari issued a statement after meeting with the Director of the Iraq program and the team of the World Bank in order to provide a financial support for Iraq. The Iraqi Finance Ministry has confirmed that this financial support would be more than a billion U.S dollars for the reconstruction process in Iraqi liberated areas from the terrorists and Daash. The Finance Ministry also said in a press statement that the Iraqi Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari today met with the Director of the Iraqi Program Robert and with the World Bank team of specialists and experts in the economy, and discussed about the execution of the development programs.

These programs included Eric Aborn, Auguste Kwame and SiebelKolokza plans and programs for providing loans to Iraq as suggested for humanitarian development aid program. This statement further indicated that this is because the World Bank is providing a financial aid of 1.7 billion U.S dollars. The 1 billion U.S dollars will be used for development policy loan (DPL) and 350 million U.S dollars for reconstruction and stability in liberated areas from Daash, and 350 million U.S dollars for Umm E Qasr project in Basra. The statement further said that the Iraqi government would take a number of measures to reform the Iraqi economy using a number of facilities to stop wastage and validation of expenses.
