Japan to open agencies of its huge companies in Iraq

In order to strengthen business and trade ties with Japan, an Iraqi delegation, comprising a number of ministers and investors, has visited the country.

In the framework of meeting with Japan`s Ministry of Trade, Japanese officials decided to open agencies of their huge companies and corporations in Iraq.  Sirwan Muhammad, Head of Sulaimani Chamber of Commerce and Industry and also member of the delegation, told PUK media that the agreement between Japan and Iraq will extent to serve Kurdistan Region as well and Kurdish investors and businessmen will participate in the inauguration and benefit of the Japanese agencies.

Noteworthy, Japanese companies do not have any agencies in Iraq so far, in contrast to its neighboring countries.
