Iraqi Prime Minister Accepted Suggestions of CBI in Crisis Cell Meeting

The Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi confirmed the importance in maintaining the Iraqi dinar exchange rate against the U.S dollar in the Iraqi domestic market and the confusion factors of any execution that are not interconnected by tangible conditions. The crisis cell agreed under his chairmanship on the suggestion of deletion of 8 percent by the Iraqi Central Bank, it stand for transfer of funds for customs and taxes. Abadi further said in his statement that a meeting of the crisis cell was held to analyze the Iraqi financial and economic condition. The crisis cell agreed on a suggestion presented by the Iraqi Central Bank to eliminate 8 percent ratio regarding customs and income tax on transferring of funds.

Abadi further discussed during meeting about the oil agreement between Baghdad and Erbil. He stressed on the need to maintain the terms of oil agreement in order to get the planned oil from the Kurdish region and to pay the equivalent dues. He said that we should adopt some extra ordinary steps in order to maintain the Iraqi dinar exchange rate against the U.S dollar in the Iraqi local markets. The Iraqi oil minister Adel Abdul Mehdi addressed giving a presentation on the improvement in the volume of oil production and export. The Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi stressed on 17th June 2015, that Iraqi currency is getting stronger and we don’t fear about the Iraqi dinar exchange rate against the U.S dollar.
