Electricity Ministry Sign Contract With Siemens to Start Four New Plants in Baghdad

Iraqi Dinar 123 News:– On Thursday, the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity has announced that they have signed a contract with a German company ‘Siemens’. This contract includes refinement equipment, civil works and application of four major manufacturing plants of 132 KV in the capital Baghdad. The Directorate for power transmission projects, Director General Sabah Khadim Ekrb issued a press statement that this contracts will accommodate refinement equipments and civil works for four power stations that are already available to the service. It would be reestablished with this contract and the formation for new stations with replacement of old stations, a new station Kadhimiya, Ghazali and Yarmouk in Baghdad.

Point to be noted that the Deputy Director of Projects has transferred the stations to the Directorate General of projects for electric power transmission Rashid Ali Jawad including all stations of 132 KV of type (Ja.o. MSI) gas insulated which is added in the contract. This contract includes all civil works and rectification equipments within 485 days. This project will be started after opening credits for activation of the contract. He also added that this is a vital project and it would participate in order to eliminate bottlenecks. This project will provide more electric power for the Iraqi people and will be more helpful to overcome the electricity problem.
